Eharmony The Contact Has Been Terminated

POSSIBLE PHISHING ATTACK – ONLINE DATING WEBSITE – PRETENDING TO BE EHARMONY – SPOOFED LINKS

Eharmony is a dating site that aims to help its users find a serious relationship. Our review of the pros and cons. Eharmony does not do what it claims, and I believe using this site has sent me backwards in my search for true love The report they want to charge for, and the website itself, are a sham. There’s lots of articles online about their non-scientific method and false advertising. Conference Terminated – Inactivity: The user has been removed because the conference has been running longer than 24 hours (default) and no new users have joined. This typically occurs when a user goes home without leaving the conference. The timeout duration can be configured by an administrator. (a) When the contract has been completely terminated, the contractor shall not use Standard Form 1034 (Public Voucher for Purchases and Services Other than Personal) after the last day of the sixth month following the month in which the termination is effective. The contractor may elect to stop using vouchers at any time during the 6-month period.

ATTENTION: I’ve been getting fake eHarmony emails sent to my spam filter. I am not, nor have I ever signed up for eHarmony and I received these eHarmony emails the past several days (on my fake scam baiting account, mind you) — I knew immediately that something was phishy. The fact that the URLs weren’t even related to eHarmony, and after looking up the header details I realized this is some type of phishing email. Whether it’s malware, a hacker, a scam, etc, it’s something phishy.

The links came in forms of images pretending to be eHarmony but the actual URLs were http://www.portalexport.com.br/negocios.htm <> http://webmail.portalexport.com.br/index.php?lang=Latvian — Which is a ”business consultant” looking for partners to buy and sell items. It’s not even a English website, never mind an English dating website like eHarmony. The actual URL can’t be copy and pasted because it came in the form of an image but it started off like portalexport.com/…/with_a_bunch_of_numbers_and_letters

eHarmony Dating mailers@devicedigest.com RETURN_PATH: 2093192922@devicedigest.com

This email came in the form of a link as well. The URL is something along the lines of devicedigest.com/…/_bunch_of_numbers_and_letters — At first, it looks like a legitimate website, however, the .com/…/_numbers_letters are what’s making me suspicious. And the website the above email (portalexport) brought me too, was nothing more then a login page and business consultant looking for business partners (supposely a french website, not even English, and definitely NOT eHarmony.

If someone has figured out who these unknown emailers are, could you please fill me in. Thank you.

One question people often ask is: “Is eharmony a scam?” Considering the fact that it’s on the Internet, it’s always helpful to do as much research on a website as possible before giving away any of your hard-earned money.

A quick Google search will reveal a plethora of disgruntled consumers who testify to eharmony scams. If you spend much time at all reading those complaints, you will believe that it is a terrible site that could care less about consumers. And while no business is perfect, we also know that the Internet gives everyone a voice these days. We could find complaints about butterflies, puppies, and cupcakes if we search long enough.

All we’re saying is read the complaints–yes–but do your research well. There’s no way to know if the complaints on message boards are from people who have axes to grind or people who find fault in everything. So definitely read them, but seek professional reviews as well.

The Los Angeles Better Business Bureau gives eharmony a rating of an A+ on a scale of A+ to F. They have certainly had people file complaints against the company, but their reasons for the high rating include the length of time the business has existed, the volume of complaints filed for a business of its size, and the resolution of the complaints filed against them.

Another way to answer the question, “Is eharmony a scam?” is to seek testimonials of single people you know in real life. The law of averages states that at least a few of your single friends have used the site. It’s a forerunner in online dating, and with online dating becoming far more widely acceptable than it used to be, chances are you know several people who’ve used it. See if they believe it’s a scam or not.

We have several friends who have met specifically through the site and have gotten married. (Several of them have shared their stories here, here, and here.) For us, that’s testimony enough to the fact that it isn’t a scam. But don’t just take our word for it–do some research of your own in real life.

However, keep in mind that just because someone doesn’t find the love of their life or even a single date doesn’t mean any online dating site is a scam. Many, many factors go into the reasons a person doesn’t find true love. Obviously, the online dating site can play into this, but so can things like on your end–like your profile settings or your willingness to initiate communication with other members. It’s not eharmony’s fault if you’re not working the system, friend. You gotta view some profiles, send some smiles, type up some messages. Do the work, yo.

Are there eharmony scammers?

Absolutely. It’s the Internet and, again, anyone can create a site, tell you they represent eharmony, and take your money. Always use trusted sites when making any financial transaction on the Internet so as to avoid not only an eharmony scammer but any con artists. Keep in mind, though, that just because there are eharmony scammers does not mean that eharmony itself is a scam.

But back to the original question, “Is eharmony a scam?
